Searching for Luke Skywalker, Darth Vader heads to the planet Vrogas Vas, location of a destroyed Jedi temple. There he finds a rebel force determined to destroy him. Meanwhile, Han Solo and Princess Leia must overcome the devious Dr. Aphra and her homicidal droids to get Luke away from Sith lord Vader. Aaron and Gillen's collaboration is full of exciting space battles and epic displays of the power of the Dark Side but little in the way of plot. As it is a crossover between the Star Wars comic line and the Darth Vader one, there are a number of characters who appear without explanation, leaving new readers at sea. That bit of confusion is worth it, however, for Dr. Aphra's murderous protocol droid Triple-Zero, who sounds hilariously like a serial killer version of C-3PO. The realistic artwork perfectly captures the familiar characters while keeping the action moving through deft panel layout. Overall, a decent if not perfect addition to the Star Wars graphic novel collection.--Wildsmith, Snow Copyright 2016 Booklist
