Review by Library Journal Review

Physician Brogan, board-certified in psychiatry, psychosomatic medicine, and integrative holistic medicine, argues that anxiety, depression, and panic attacks are not a neurochemical disorder but rather a complex inflammatory disease that originates far from neural synapses and serotonin. She describes the biology of depression in depth and proposes a comprehensive treatment for wellness including meditation, diet, detoxification, sleep, and exercise. Interestingly, the author warns about the potential side effects of body lotions, tap water, and over-the-counter pain relievers. VERDICT This book would benefit women who have run the gamut of depression treatments and are looking for a tangible solution. © Copyright 2016.
