Review by School Library Journal Review

Gr 2-4-This mix of new titles and updates in this venerable series offers pictures of each selected techno-wonder's past, present, and future with splashy graphics and bright colors to crank up the visual energy. The crisply reproduced photos on nearly every page are as appealing as ever and often come with helpful labels. Among the entirely new titles, Self-Driving Cars steers readers to a chapter on Google cars; Drones flies current models, ranging from the aptly named "wallet drone" to the RQ-4B Global Hawk; and Warships floats facts about the soon-to-be-launched supercarrier USS Gerald R. Ford. Each volume features a pair of true/false questions at the front, and some eye-widening statistics at the back. VERDICT Additions to an essential series: consider to fill collection gaps or to replace older titles. © Copyright 2016. Library Journals LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Media Source, Inc.
