He is in hot pursuit of the Archangel, a serial killer who poses each of his victims in a church with the medallion of a saint on his or her body. Jude has been assigned to work the case with Jackson Crow, head of an elite paranormal division of the FBI known as the Krewe of Hunters. As entertainer Alexi Cromwell performs on board, she sees the ghosts of the dead all around her. One is a victim of the Archangel, and he seems to be trying to tell her something. When Jude and Alexi meet, there is an instant attraction, but a shipboard romance is the last thing either of them are looking for. Now Jude, Jackson, and Alexi are in a deadly race against the clock to narrow down the suspect list before the killer strikes again.
