Review by Publisher's Weekly Review

Wrigley, the author of We Love to Sew and several follow-up crafting books, shares a variety of holiday-themed crafts with difficulty levels ranging from "easy peasy" to "take your time and ask for help." Small icons note which projects don't require any sewing (roughly half of them). Among the ideas Wrigley suggests are a pillow with a sewn-on deer silhouette, a garlandlike Advent calendar with fabric pockets for stashing daily gifts, and a pincushion in the shape of a dove. Skills and materials are clearly outlined, as are the step-by-step instructions, which are supplements by photographs and (where needed) stencils. Readers interested in making homemade gifts will find some enticing options within. Ages 8-up. (Sept.) © Copyright PWxyz, LLC. All rights reserved.
