Review by Library Journal Review

Redfern's text is split into three sections: ancient aliens (covering Atlantis, for instance), conspiracies (e.g., Area 51), and New World Order (e.g., 9/11). Having the 60 events and "clandestine" groups in chronological order makes topics easier to find rather than having to page around for information. The articles are easy to read and understand and are presented objectively with the author's thoughts at the end. Four history themes run through the title: how it has been lost, why people accept it without question, how easily it can be erased, and reasons why it is suppressed and by whom. Some readers may be unhappy with the book because they find it disturbing, or it challenges their way of thinking (Moses speaking to extra-terrestrials rather than talking to God), but this is exactly the author's aim; to make the reader think. The index is average, and the bibliography, while thorough, is heavy on websites, meaning the listings could go out of date quickly. -VERDICT For general readers with an interest in the "dark side" of world history.-Beth Bland, Milwaukee © Copyright 2015.
