Review by Library Journal Review

Yudina, editor in chief of MONITOR magazine, has assembled more than 200 modern designs, some that serve as structural elements, others that morph into functional furniture, and those that seem to become the architecture, such as shelving when seen through the glass walls of a Dutch library. The furniture shown is primarily for residential interiors but includes retail displays and pieces for commercial interiors, such as hotels and restaurants. More than 500 color photographs portray furniture from an international array of designers with captions describing each designer's intent. -VERDICT Many of these contemporary designs could find a place in any décor, providing ideas for professional designers of residential and commercial interiors as well as giving amateurs distinct inspiration for their own homes. © Copyright 2015.
