Nanny Piggins, that cross between Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle and Willy Wonka, returns in her third adventure, and she is as feisty as ever. She cleverly prevents her archenemy, Mr. Green, from sending her charges, Derrick, Samantha, and Michael, to Nicaragua; her turn as volunteer on the neighborhood watch does not prevent break-ins but does provide lots of fun; and there's an amusing twist to her visit with author Jo, who wants to write her biography. If Nanny wasn't delightful enough, 2015 Caldecott Medal-winner Santat illustrates the misadventures.--Cooper, Ilene Copyright 2015 Booklist

In this third Nanny Piggins novel, the porcine former-circus-performer-cum-caretaker leads her three (human) charges in ridiculous adventures such as mediating a dispute between a dissatisfied lion and her tyrannical tamer. The varied word choice and deadpan humor marks this as a solid read-aloud option. Spot- and full-page art illustrate memorable moments in each adventure. A chocolate souffli recipe is appended.
