Review by Library Journal Review

White (Sewing Green) is best known for her ecofriendly craft projects featuring reclaimed fabric and materials. In the author's most recent collection, she focuses on giftable projects suitable for sewists of a variety of skill levels. Each project includes detailed directions with illustrations and photographs of key steps, as well as handy sewing tips for any tricky techniques or fabrics. While there are gems in each chapter, the projects for children shine, especially the adorable, easy-to-sew teddy bear, the cheery felt mobile, and the turtle-shaped floor pillow. Most of the projects include ideas for combining reclaimed fabric-for example, the men's travel case can be made from worn-out camouflage pants or dress shirts. Patterns are included on a pullout insert. VERDICT With styles ranging from minimalist accessories to frilly clutches to cute kids' toys, there's something for most sewists in this collection.
