Review by Booklist Review

Easter is simplified for young children in this British import. The book organizes snippets of information into segments, including spring, Easter, the teachings of the Bible, and the methods of celebrating the holiday. Each concept, presented in a two-page spread with lots of color photographs, comes together to explain the Easter celebration. Family, food, costumes, and Easter eggs figure prominently. Culturally different celebrations are mentioned briefly. The book concludes with notes for adults that suggest how to help children understand the holiday. It also provides ideas for crafts and special foods. Not essential, but useful for the youngest.--Edmundson, Martha Copyright 2015 Booklist
