K^-Gr.3. Cronin's cheerful farce about animals on strike and the perplexed farmer who must deal with them is retold in a matter-of-fact Spanish, complemented by the original, boisterous, cartoonlike art. Young Spanish speakers will laugh at the animals' audacity in withholding eggs and milk in exchange for electric blankets. After emergency meetings and the intervention of neutral Pato, Farmer Brown concedes in a joyous, unexpected ending.
