Lizzy Rollins has harbored a longtime crush on Stage Dive's bassist Ben Nicholson ever since she met him through her older sister Anne's shotgun romance to wild drummer Mal Ericson. Ben and Lizzy submit to their mutual attraction one fateful night in Vegas, which ends in tears and at least one broken heart. When Lizzy finds out she's pregnant, the pair must navigate their separate lives as parents-to-be and perhaps as something more. Though the novel's structure is slightly confusing at the start-pregnant Lizzy has a lengthy, yet necessary, flashback to her blossoming flirtation and one-night stand with Ben that could occasionally blur the distinction between past and present-this is another serving of hot, fast-paced fun with just the right amount of drama. Lizzy is a charming addition to Scott's likable, sardonic, strong-willed female characters (Lick; Play; Lead), whose unique plots and relationship quirks prevent them from seeming formulaic. VERDICT Scott ends on a high note with this final installment in the "Stage Dive" series.
