Review by Horn Book Review

This easy reader version has just as much child appeal as the original edition. Early Bird is sent off by his father to look for a worm (to play with, not to eat) but has trouble since he doesn't know what a worm is. He eventually meets Wiggly Worm, and the two become friends. Preschoolers and young readers will enjoy knowing more than the bird and will find lots of silly details in the illustrations. (c) Copyright 2010.
