K-Gr 2-Frog and his woodland friends are back for more adventures. In the first chapter, they go in search of the end of the rainbow and find gold but not the kind they were anticipating. They decide to leave it where they found it and be content with simply discovering it. Next, a fisherman discovers Frog's pond, forcing him to relocate. His new home just doesn't feel right, so he comes up with a plan to keep the man away so he can move back to his pond. These stories have a clear font and simple cartoon illustrations that highlight the adorable Frog and friends. This is a slightly longer easy reader, but it has short sentences and simple language.-Melisa Bailey, Harford County Library System, MD (c) Copyright 2014. This latest early reader featuring Frog and his pond companions contains two vignettes. In the first, the friends are fascinated by a rainbow and determined to find the gold that little Jumping Mouse says is at the end. Next, a fisherman invades the pond; will Frog have to leave his home? Bright illustrations help the reader make predictions and inferences about the accessible stories. (c) Copyright 2014.
