Review by Horn Book Review

In these easy readers starring the welcoming bears, Papa Bear takes the cubs fishing and the cubs' simple lemonade stand starts off a block party. Both feature the Berenstains' familiar characters and cartoon art, but the plots are predictable and the characters slight. Simple sentence structure and limited vocabulary may help new readers through the ho-hum stories.
