The Grammar Basics series tackles a subject that many kids might find intimidating. Thankfully, these titles on parts of speech approach their topics in a straightforward, charming manner that is perfect for young readers. Each book defines the part of speech and identifies the different forms it can take. Verbs actions or states of being vary by tense, person, and number. Repetition and the use of spare, clean text, appropriately accented with boldface and italicized words, keep the message clear.
