Review by School Library Journal Review

K-Gr 3-Although the stereotypical representation of a stern librarian is a bit offensive, the information is delivered in a clever way. Two Library Secret Service agents complete with earpieces and dark glasses explain the V.O.G. (very official guidelines) for taking the best care of books. A ghost reminds children that books can disappear and to never lend your library book to one, much less to an alien. The pop quiz gives quick reinforcement in a way that will appeal to children. Large illustrations with V.O.G. numbers 1-16 and running commentary from the agents fill the pages, and there is a nice balance between art and text. With its humorous twist, this is a good choice to help explain the rules to young library users.-Janene Corbin, Rosebank Elementary School, Nashville, TN (c) Copyright 2013.
