Review by Publisher's Weekly Review

Sewing pattern books often stop at size 16, so this volume, which includes some patterns aimed for women sized up to 28, is a very welcome addition to the genre. The book is a visual treat: lots of photographs of the clothing from every angle, along with a CD containing patterns, detailed sewing instructions, and a lengthy section of tips and information for new sewists. There are jackets, pants, and tons of tunics. Readers will be able to tell from the cover whether this book is for them: every one of the 15 designs is of the same aesthetic, which comes off looking like Eileen Fisher crossed with a mid-1990s vibe. It's distinctive, and not for everyone-especially those who prefer a silhouette that is in any way fitted. For those who fancy that loose linen look, and for women seeking clothing that is both stylish and modest, this book is an absolute godsend, and will be deeply appreciated.
