Review by Horn Book Review

The authors discuss many different aspects of warfare throughout the ages, covering weapons, tactics, and locales. The book comes across as a broad but shallow overview of the topic as no single area is explored in great detail. Color photos, illustrations, and supplementary text boxes are abundant in a layout that, while occasionally busy, is visually entertaining. Reading list, websites. Glos., ind. (c) Copyright 2013.
