Review by Library Journal Review

This book challenges its readers to start sketching in a sketchbook and, more important, to stick with it. To help readers accomplish these aims, Bleiweiss provides a series of subject themes they can explore as often as they like. Technique tutorials accompany each section, and "loosening up" exercises are provided at the beginning of the book. Many examples of sketchbook pages created by different artists and the completed projects inspired by them are included. Throughout, the author encourages a spirit of fun, creativity, and experimentation. -VERDICT Artists of all levels facing the universal problem of creative block should check out this book.
