Review by Library Journal Review

Registered nurse Knight (The Baby Cookbook) and nutritionist Ruggiero combine their perspectives on homemade baby food and provide more than 200 recipes. They include a month-by-month guide for introducing foods, detailed nutritional descriptions, and "helpful hints for the high chair." While filled with recipes, the book is marred a bit by cutesy recipe names like Yummy in My Tummy Banana-Yogurt Puddin' and Crib-Rockin' Lentil Roast. Fortunately, most of the recipes can be made in less than ten minutes and can be frozen. Verdict This title is similar to Renee Elliott's Healthy Eating for Your Baby & Toddler (reviewed above) in content and price, but if you can only choose one, Elliott's presentation is preferable. Still, Knight and Ruggiero's good recipe resource will make readers feel as if an RN and a nutritionist are by their side with guidance.-Barb Kundanis, Longmont P.L., CO (c) Copyright 2010.
