The stranger from Abilene A Ralph Compton novel

Joseph A. West

Large print - 2012

Rancher Cage Clayton was hired to track down a man who years ago had left a trail of destruction in his wake. Though he doesn't know who his target is or what he looks like, Clayton does know that he's in Bighorn Point. Finding him shouldn't be too hard. Clayton hadn't even arrived in Bighorn Point yet when he learns that Nook Kelly is the law there. Nook has a well-earned reputation as a gunslinger. This adds a complication to Clayton's plan, since Nook Kelly is not a man he'd want to aggravate. Clayton knows that in a gun battle between them, he'd end up the loser. Now there are two targets: the one Cage Clayton is looking for -- and the one on his back.
