Travel + Leisure magazine editors have compiled a guide to Europe's most chic destinations, with an emphasis on elegant cities, quiet retreats, seaside luxury getaways, stylish hotels, and food and drink and/or style and culture. The work contains more than 200 gorgeous color photographs selected by the editors. Not for travelers on a shoestring budget-it emphasizes the continent's trendy, more exclusive journeys. The city destinations include London, Barcelona, Paris, Copenhagen, and Berlin, and the book illustrates fashionable travel in England, France, Greece, Turkey, Sweden, Portugal, Italy, Iceland, the Czech Republic, Russia, Latvia, and Estonia. It includes recommendations for hotels, restaurants, galleries, shops, museums, and tour operators for each location. These include some lower-end recommendations, but the book clearly is intended for the more affluent traveler to Europe looking for a specific, luxurious trip to experience the finer things in life. It is well organized with a table of contents but has no index.
