Review by Publisher's Weekly Review

What better way to learn how to count than by adding up kisses? Pairing repetition with simple couplets, May takes readers up to the number 10 in this padded book with cardboard pages: "One kiss for baby/ on baby's nose/ Two kisses for baby/ tickling toes." Ainslie offers delicately outlined images that show a small girl in a blue dress cavorting with a trio of stuffed animals; as the numbers increase, so do the number of childlike pink and red hearts on each spread, helping drive home the concept.
