Review by Library Journal Review

Rule-breaking French New Wave auteur Jean-Luc Godard (Breathless) directs his onetime wife and chief muse, Anna Karina, as a would-be actress who drifts into prostitution. Divided into a dozen tableaux and shot in a documentary-like style that sometimes calls attention to the artifice of filmmaking, Godard's sixth film is pretty accessible by his standards. Audio commentary by scholar Adrian Martin helps provide insight into the director's provocative approach, but Godard remains best suited for serious film buffs. (c) Copyright 2010.
