Cass, Max-Ernest, and Yo-Yoji are on yet another search for the Secret. In this fifth and final (maybe not!) book in the Secret series, Cass accidentally breaks a finger off a mummy in a natural-history-museum exhibit. The trio's adventures begin when the mummy goes missing and they must find it to clear themselves before eighth-grade graduation. Bosch interjects warnings to readers and gives footnote explanations of starred words. Ford's illustrations introduce each chapter and aptly set the mood. Readers who followed the children in previous escapades know what to expect: quirky humor, light suspense, and magic. No disappointments here.--Petty, J. B. Copyright 2010 Booklist

Can they stop Lord Pharaoh and discover the mummy's secret? The full-cast narration is spot-on adn brings to life all the characters. The crisp, clear narrative styles complement each other well. The characters' accents are unique and masterfully capture their backgrounds. The intermixing of action, humor, and adventure is well-crafted and smoothly transitioned by the narrators. Listeners who are familiar with the previous titles will enjoy this conclusion to the series.-Kira Moody, Whitmore Public Library, Salt Lake City, UT (c) Copyright 2012.
