Review by Library Journal Review

Prolific designer and teacher Leapman (Cables Untangled) brings her considerable skill and knowledge to advanced color-work techniques, including stranded (or Fair Isle) knitting, intarsia, and double knitting. As in many color knitting books, Leapman here covers color theory and technique, but where she shines is in the patterns. It's easy for color knitting to look dated or kitschy, but Leapman's designs are contemporary and fashionable. Knitters who like to design their own projects will appreciate the variety of motifs in all three techniques, which can be used to create a one-of-a-kind garment or accessory. (c) Copyright 2011.
