Husband-and-wife treasure hunters Sam and Remi Fargo are back for another action-packed adventure in this third book in the Fargo Adventure series from Cussler and Blackwood. An eccentric Texas billionaire brings the couple to Nepal and the Himalayan Mountains to search for a missing employee, but clues reveal their employer's goal is something altogether more avaricious. Thus begins a dangerous quest for fabled treasure. Like all Cussler thrillers, there are the requisite beautiful, brilliant, wealthy, athletic, expert protagonists, and the greedy, evil, cruel, conniving foes-and Cussler fans will absolutely love it. Scott Brick is as proficient as ever, enthralling listeners with his precise, dramatic narration. Cussler stories always begin with a fascinating mix of history, science, fact, and fiction, and Brick delivers these by creating believable accents and speech patterns for a wide variety of characters. Between the writing and the narrator's top-notch performance, this audiobook is exactly what listeners have come to expect from the series, and that makes it rewarding. A Putnam hardcover. The third time most definitely is the charm for Cussler and Blackwood's husband-and-wife team Remi and Sam Fargo. Here, the globe-trotting adventurers are hired by oil baron Charles King to find his long-lost daddy-or so he tells them. What King is really after is an ancient artifact worth mondo bucks.
