Review by Booklist Review
Crafty kids looking to spruce up their rooms will delight in this title from the Rock Your . . . series, which also includes books on parties, school stuff, and wardrobes. Following a section on craft safety basics, the 12 projects range from the decorative (T-shirt wall art) to the practical (dragonfly clothespins), and ecofriendly ideas are provided to help make the crafts greener. Literal-minded kids will appreciate the precise full-color photographs illustrating each direction step-by-step, while more adventurous children will latch onto the author's encouragement to explore. Though most of the featured projects skew girly, there are a few boy-friendly variations (camouflage included). All of these inexpensive and easy projects can be completed without adult aid (except for the candle holder), making these crafts truly feel like a kid's own creative expression.--Jones, Courtney Copyright 2010 Booklist

This series gives kids easy step-by-step ways to make decorations for their rooms and parties; personalize school supplies; and fashion clothes with simple, easily found scraps and a little glue and paint. Colorful photographs show youngsters crafting appealing T-shirts, wall decorations, party hats, etc., some of which are created from recycled found items. All are projects they can complete by themselves. [Review covers these QEB Rock Your... titles: Party, Room, School Stuff, and Wardrobe.] (c) Copyright 2011.
