Review by School Library Journal Review
Gr 1-3-These books take young readers to a few places that are rarely seen by the general public: the underground sections of shopping malls, hospitals, police stations, and sports stadiums. Each book describes the duties of the various employees in such places, what is held in secret rooms, the types of security used, and how the institution is run. The prose is simple and succinct, and full-color, mostly full-page photos dominate the pages. Children who find such places intriguing, or who have curious minds, will certainly have their appetites whetted by this series but they will need to look elsewhere for more detailed information.-Donna Atmur, Los Angeles Public Library (c) Copyright 2010.
