Review by Horn Book Review

This book highlights the Eiffel Tower as a marvel of human engineering: sturdy latticework of eighteen thousand iron and steel beams. Crisp photographs in clean layouts illustrate the workers' monumental feat. The large-font text, though informative, can be choppy and vague ("Lots of people go to Paris in the summer. It is hot then"). Reading list. Glos., ind. (c) Copyright 2010. The Horn Book, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Media Source, Inc. No redistribution permitted. All rights reserved.
