*Starred Review* Almost all the ings, from stenciling and stamping to sticking and fixing, are featured in UK designer Beaman's fourth book (after Complete Guide to Scrapbooking, 2005; Button Maker, 2006; and Decorative Sewing, 2007). In it, she expounds and expands on the usual techniques for making greeting cards as well as on some not normally associated with the craft, such as bleaching and stitching. Each technique is accompanied by step-by-step directions and photographs, when necessary. More than 100 how-to's make up the book's front section, followed by 50 cards for almost as many occasions and reasons celebrations and special moments, floral fancies, season's greetings, animal magic, decorative delights, special occasions. What distinguishes this from other books on making cards? A clean contemporary-design perspective, with an emphasis on the less is more philosophy; great attention to crafter needs; and quite a few fast cards for those with limited time. Truly timeless and creative ways to invite, thank, and celebrate.--Jacobs, Barbara Copyright 2008 Booklist
