If one is familiar with coach Marty Schupak's drills and skills videos (see, for example, Video Reviews, LJ 3/15/08), Advanced Soccer Drills lives up to expectations. The drills are clearly explained and carried out onscreen by talented players. Each drill is succinct yet demonstrated enough times for a player or coach to understand exactly how the drill should be executed. Additionally, the drills--to enhance footwork, ball control, shooting, passing, and teamwork--are fun, are player oriented, and place a premium on necessary game skills while also emphasizing stamina. Many will work for individuals, small groups, and team practices. Advanced Soccer Drills is as beneficial for coaches as for players.
