Review by Library Journal Review
Patterson, here partnering with children's book author Charbonnet, diverges from his usual mix of blood, suspense, and terror with this captivating tale of a young woman and her soulmate. Though the characters are interesting and the dialog is realistic, it's rather a souffle of a story that could easily float off into obscurity were it not for the outstanding narration by Ellen Archer (www.ellenarcher.com)--who, in this reviewer's opinion, is one of best readers in the business. Highly recommended for all public libraries.
