Review by Horn Book Review

Using everyday vehicles to demonstrate scientific principles, the book discusses how drag, friction, and kinetic energy affect car design and driving. Unfortunately, the prose is choppy and the busy pages are crowded with text blocks, photographs, and color illustrations. Instructions for building a model car are included, but it may prove too complex for many young readers. Ind. (c) Copyright 2010. The Horn Book, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Media Source, Inc.
