Review by School Library Journal Review

Gr 3-4-The content in this book on the only species with feathers is arranged in the form of questions and addresses subjects like how birds can become extinct instead of "flying away from their problems," whether or not woodpeckers get headaches from pecking wood, and why bird poop is so runny. The narrative is breezy and appealing to read for enjoyment, yet contains enough facts for a book report. Full-color photographs appear on every page.-Farida S. Review by Horn Book Review

This book features a broad array of questions kids might ask about birds: for example, ""how do birds fly?"" and ""how do they chew their food?"" More specific questions focus on details unique to a particular species: e.g., ""Why are vultures so ugly?"" Lots of photographs add interest. Overall, the treatment is broad but informative.
