Review by Library Journal Review
One look at the appealing miniature schnauzer on this book's cover makes you want to look inside. There, you'll find a whole gallery of miniature dogs made from wool and dog hair manipulated with a barbed felting needle. Author Nagakubo uses these simple materials to make enchanting miniature dogs in 20 popular breeds (e.g., lab, French bulldog, poodle, dachshund). She discusses tools and materials for needle felting, provides step-by-step instructions, and lists mail-order resources--a useful feature, as needle felting supplies can be difficult to find locally. As the only book available on the subject, this is an excellent resource for large public libraries and general craft collections. (c) Copyright 2010.
