Gr 2-5-The eye-pleasing layouts in these titles feature full-color photographs and text boxes in the shape of the book's subject. Each title offers lots of information about the animal, including a discussion of its rise in popularity as a pet. A contents page clearly outlines the topics covered, including the history and evolution of the animal, selection, care, and how to prepare the aquarium or cage before bringing it home. Labeled spreads show body parts and captions add additional information.
