Review by School Library Journal Review

Gr 2-3-These appealing books provide challenging, real-world math problems in the context of land, sea, and space adventures. In each volume, readers try on an occupation, such as deep-sea diver, and solve job-related problems. They interpret data, calculate, measure, and estimate using well-designed charts, diagrams, graphs, and tables. These user-friendly titles are enhanced by full-color photographs, a large font size, and a clear organizational scheme. Other features include fun fact boxes, a "Tips and Help" page, and an easily navigable answer page. Good resources for making math more relevant.-Barbara Katz, Parish Episcopal School, Dallas, TX (c) Copyright 2010. Library Journals LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Media Source, Inc.
