Review by Booklist Review
This attractively illustrated oversize volume brings together the Private Lessons that have appeared in Golf Magazine for many years. The text is divided into sections addressing the various parts of the game, including putting, bunker shots, iron play, and tee shots. Each tip is brief--no more than two pages--and while much of the information will be familiar to golfers constantly in search of the next great swing thought, the combination of succinct, easy-to-understand language and drawings that effectively illustrate the tips will drive home numerous elusive points (how to draw the ball by adjusting alignment, for example). Golf Magazine readers will find this volume particularly useful for tracking down a vaguely remembered tip, and others will enjoy browsing for relevant advice on whatever happens to ail their swings at a particular moment. Solid information, nicely packaged. --Bill Ott Copyright 2006 Booklist
