Review by Library Journal Review

Not quite in the company of Akira Kurosawa's indisputable classics, e.g., The Seven Samurai and Ran, this somewhat drawn-out but still impressive piece of work stars the director's favorite actor, the stalwart Toshiro Mifune, as a young company exec who sets out to avenge his father's murder in a world of corporate corruption. Sporting a gleaming digital remastering that shows off its film noir influence to best effect, Bad looks really good. For serious collections. (c) Copyright 2010.
