Review by School Library Journal Review

K-Gr 3-This series entry introduces readers to geometry and three-dimensional shapes through an engaging story and colorful illustrations. When Anna's cat, Streaks, gives birth to four rambunctious kittens, the girl must convince her dad that she can keep them out of trouble. With help from her friend Tom, she is able to build a kitten castle that provides housing and entertainment for the frisky felines. Children will enjoy reading about the kittens and their quirky personalities as well as the construction of the castle. A chart of shapes and a page of activities that adults can use with children reinforce the concepts incorporated into the story.-Maura Bresnahan, Shawsheen School, Andover, MA (c) Copyright 2010.
