Sowle and Dye, craftspeople from England with their own upholstery web site (www.oldsofas.com), handle the topic expertly, covering basic techniques, tools, and materials. The layout is crisp and cohesive, which results in an attractive book. Although this is essentially a British publication, with lists of overseas suppliers, comparable materials and tools are available in the United States.
