Geared to the novice home craftsperson, both of these books in the "Popular Mechanics Workshop" series cover different saws quite effectively. Peters, the author of numerous woodworking, building, and tool books as well as of other titles in this series, handles both subjects with great insight, illustrating different techniques through simple projects, covering blades, materials, and supplies. Like all titles in the series, the books boast an attractive and crisp layout, with fantastic color illustrations. Boxes of aside information are sprinkled throughout, with pertinent tips and recommendations. The result is great quality from an expected source; highly recommended. (c) Copyright 2010.
