Review by Library Journal Review

Chah (1919-92), a Buddhist monk of the "Forest Tradition" in Thailand, exerted an important influence on late 20th-century American Buddhist teachers such as Jack Kornfield and Sharon Salzberg. Chah showed little interest in esoteric Buddhist terminology, preferring to couch his insights in clear, accessible language. All actions, he believed, should be carried out with a spirit of meditation that in turn "should be for the purpose of developing wisdom." Many readers should find Chah's approach refreshingly direct. For most collections. (c) Copyright 2010. Library Journals LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Media Source, Inc.
