Review by Horn Book Review

Based on 'The Railway Series' by the Rev. W. Awdry. Thomas gets bored with stopping at the stations along his track, so he goes all the way to the end of the line without stopping once. When he sees the unhappy passengers, he realizes he should do what is expected of him. A number of story elements seem to be included simply for effect, rather than to move the story forward. Colorful but pedestrian art illustrates the text. From HORN BOOK 1995, (c) Copyright 2010. The Horn Book, Inc., a wholly owned subsidiary of Media Source, Inc. No redistribution permitted.
