Review by Library Journal Review
Interior designer Bilhuber, whose work has been featured in Architectural Digest, House & Garden, and Vogue, shares the decorating advice he has developed over 20 years. His chatty writing style makes the information accessible and will allow novices to understand how to work with professional designers and contractors, as well as how to use the practical advice on color, space planning, furniture layout, and material choices. Especially helpful is the inclusion of specific Benjamin Moore paint colors he likes to use. Throughout are color photographs of Bilhuber's interiors, decorated in a style that has been dubbed American Classicism-a mix of classic American furniture and decorative accessories set in sleek, modern surroundings. More practical than many interior decorating books, this is recommended for large public library collections. (c) Copyright 2010. Library Journals LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Media Source, Inc.
