Review by Horn Book Review

These two adventures of the irrepressible monkey follow the well-established pattern. George's inquisitiveness gets him into trouble, but his quick thinking turns the impending disaster around. Weston's illustrations are a pale imitation of the originals, and these books owe their popularity to their protagonist--not to the pedestrian text or art. [Review covers these titles: [cf2]Curious George Takes a Train[cf1] and [cf2]Curious George Visits a Toy Store[cf1].] From HORN BOOK Spring 2003, (c) Copyright 2010.
