In this comic-strip adaptation of Grahame's beloved, bucolic classic about Rat, Mole, Toad, and Mr. Badger, the book's charm, exaltation of nature, and rich characters are sacrificed to Disneyfication. Pages crowded with panels of illustration and tiny boxes of overwritten text make the story difficult to follow. This is the first of a projected four volumes.
