Review by Library Journal Review

Malone, who has been collecting quilt block patterns since 1958, here assembles a treasury of quilt blocks from more than 75 publications, including museum collections and the Kansas City Star patterns, as well as blocks from contemporary sources such as Quiltmaker and the Quilter's Newsletter. Malone organizes this wealth of patterns by the number of squares in a block, making it easy for the reader to mix and match blocks to plan a unique quilt. Each design contains a color drawing of the block, the name or names by which it is known, and the source of the pattern. A detailed index makes this book an excellent reference source. Highly recommended for quilting collections in both public and academic libraries. (c) Copyright 2010. Library Journals LLC, a wholly owned subsidiary of Media Source, Inc.
